| XV. BODRUM CUP /16. - 22. OKTOBER.

Der Bodrum Cup ist
eine internationale Holzschiff-Regatta und wird seit 1989
jedes Jahr in der dritten Oktober-Woche durchgeführt. Die
Regatta ist für jedermann offen, vom erfahren Segler bis zu
all denjenigen, die Freude daran haben, an einem großen
Ereignis unter Segeln teilzunehmen.
Teilnehmer-Kategorien:
1. Holzschiffe - traditionelles Design (in 7 Kategorien nach
Länge)
2. Holzschiffe - klassisches Design
3. Yachten aus Holz - modernes Design bzw. Konstruktion
4. Yachten aus anderen Materialien (als nicht Regatta-Teilnehmer)

Etwa 100 Boote in unterschiedlichen Kategorien,
zusammen mit den Organisationsbooten , haben für den "Bodrum-Cup"
gesegelt, und die Route Bodrum > Turgut Reis > Yalikavak >
Bitez > Bodrum wurde gelaufen.
Wir haben auch dieses Jahr mit unseren Booten
NOSTALGIA und AKIN A. an der Regatte teilgenommen.
NOSTALGIA machte als Erster den "Finish"
am Eröffnungstag und in den Turgutreis und Bitez Etappen.
Somit wurde sie wieder der Erste in seiner
Kategorie. Sie bekam auch den 5. Platz in "Traditional
Yachts Overall".

Bodrum - "Circle of love"
|
On Saturday, the 16th of October everybody
was busy with the usual preparations for the regatta.
Next day, very early in the morning our boats Nostalgia
and Akýn A moved to the starting point. With a very light
wind both of our boats succeeded in finishing the first
course towards noon. The tiredness of the day passed away
by giving a lunch & swimming break in a bay. In the afternoon
the yachts have formed a circle -circle of love- in front
of the Bodrum Castle, giving a message of love, peace
and friendship to the world. With the help of technical
escort team, they anchored in the form of a perfect circle
at 88 meters diameter, which could be viewed from the
top until the next morning. |
On the next days the expected wind didn't show up, but
there was no need to cancel any course. All races had
to try hard to pass through the finish line. So the 16th
Bodrum's Cup regatta has been completed with the last
course from Bitez to Bodrum on Thursday.
Our boat Nostalgia has got the 1st, Akýn A the 8th place
in their own category. The next night, as ARYA team, we
went to Oasis in order to take part on the prizing ceremony.
Yes we were used to get degrees every year, but getting
the first, is still a very good feeling. We had really
fun for the five days. We had really fun on the last night.
Now we are looking forward to see all of our friends on
the next regatta again.
